Hypoglycemia
Overview
Devil's Club (Oplopanax horridum) is an adrenal tonic that has demonstrated a specific positive effect in achieving blood sugar balance. Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) prolongs the half-life of cortisol, thereby helping maintain consistency of blood glucose levels, and has repeatedly demonstrated anti-stress and anti-fatigue properties. Eleuthero, also known as Siberian Ginseng (Eleutherococcus senticosus), has been shown to improve fatigue and weakness as well as improving blood sugar balance. Milk Thistle (Silybum marianum) supports the liver, the main organ involved in glucose storage and metabolism, and is therefore a powerful aid in the stabilization of blood glucose. Wild Yam (Dioscorea villosa) contains diosgenin, a precursor for cortisol, a key constituent required for blood sugar balance.
